If you look at the world, you quickly get the feeling that the whole world has gotten out of joint and is like a madhouse.

If you as an artist grapple with it, the issues that create pressure are brought to light. I don’t provide answers and I don’t save the world – I try to give the madness out there a face with my work.

The big events are usually not only terrifying, but often also incredibly bizarre. In doing so, they do not lack a certain comedy, which is worth to be shown.

My art is my personal perspective on this crazy world. As terrifying as the circumstances are, the subjects in my pictures also show their rather absurdly bizarre side. This way of looking at least does not help me to despair of this world.

Perhaps my representations also open a door for the viewer, which leads to a more acceptable view of the situation.
